I have always loved the classic style of these skirts. I mean of course, minis are definitely my thing, but classic shapes and lengths like these always get the better of me. I wish I had my sewing machine so i can sew these beauties!!!

trip to san 'frisco was inspiring, as always. it felt good to be inspired again from the nature, long car trips (highway 1), and especially people watching. i lovelovelove looking at new faces. i noticed a lot of good looking men a lot more than the girls. so here's some photos from carlotta manaigo of beautiful boys.

I bought Bazaar's fall runway report (which I can't put down, there's just so much in it) and noticed a lot of lovelylovelylovely gloves. I find them so classy and elegant and the perfect touch for the chilly weather (that will hopefully come soon!) what do you guys think? the new fall/winter accessory? I know I'll be on the lookout for them.

Today I finally went to the AA factory store in downtown LA. AHHH!!! the prices are ridiculously better. Plus! they added an additional discount at the counter! what a steal. BUT, warning: be sure to check the items throughly, the zipper on my denim skirt was broken. thank goodness I've sewn before, or else I would've forgotten how to fix it (I ran into the same problem before while sewing). Other than that, I basically got everything half off. So, I'm never going to buy anything from their online store or regular stores again, haha. the drive to LA is worth it.

What did I get?


Yes. I've always wanted one ever since I saw The Row's video.

They didn't have black in small, very very very sad. But asphalt is close to it ;)

I have this one in light apricot (xs, supppper tight, so i got a small this time, haha). The fabric is so much nicer in person, i really love the mineral wash effect and how the fabric is softer, but stupid broken zipper that will soon be fixed. I don't mind, i got it half off (beats the $54 price tag) :)

I haven't been inspired to do any shoots. I have one scheduled next week, but the models and timing are a bit of an issue. Putting testing shoots together is a PAIN. I've been focused a lot on fashion, which is not a bad thing at all, but I really miss the carefree creative atmosphere of shooting. I feel more comfortable shooting in texas, I don't know why, I suppose there's just more nature there. I get more inspired by the location of the shoot than anything else, so, i suppose there aren't many accessible (i have no car) locations here in southern california, while in texas it's more like "let's do a shoot across the street on the beautiful wide green meadow":

i'm obsessed with those deep arm holes garments. i love that type of unconventional sexiness. shoulders/ribcage/backs are especially sexy.
